What is Call Parking?

--> Normally when you put the call on hold, you can retrieve the call from the original phone where you placed the call on hold.

--> The call park feature allows a user to place a call on hold so that it can be retrieved from another telephone in the CUCM cluster.

--> The call park feature works within a CUCM cluster. 

--> An active call can be parked to a call park extension by pressing the Park softkey. 

--> When the Park key is pressed, the LCD screen displays the call park number for 10 seconds by default. 

--> Any IP Phone can dial this Park Extension number to retrieve the call.



--> Each CUCM in a cluster must have its own call park extension numbers defined because the call park configuration is done on a CUCM, not per cluster. 

--> Either a single directory number (DN) or a range of DNs can be defined for use as call park extension numbers, up to 100 call park numbers per CUCM cluster.

--> call park numbers cannot overlap between CUCM servers.

--> It is possible to allow the call to be parked at random number automatically or choosing the park number manually by the user who received the call.
