--> Protected Domains are the domains which are protected by fortimail whenever it receives any email associated with that domain.
--> Protected Domains should be created in Fortimail in order to implement e-mail flow.
--> Protected Domains are also defined which email messages fortimail considers being inbound and outbound.
--> Fortimail considers an email message to be incoming email if the receiving domain matches to a protected domain, otherwise it considers as an outgoing domain.
--> No additional configuration is required in fortimail for incoming E-Mail messages, as they are relayed by default.
--> Outgoing E-mail messages are rejected by default by fortimail device unless the sender is authenticated.
