What is the difference between Operating Configuration vs Normal Configuration file in Cisco IP Phone??

--> Cisco IP Phone receives two files while registering with CUCM or CME.

1) Operating Configuration File

2) Normal Configuration File

--> IP Phone First receives the Normal Configuration file from TFTP Server which contains following items such as,

i) Device Language

ii) Firmware Version

iii) Port Number

iv)  List of Call Processing Servers

--> IP Phone then receives the Operating Configuration file from the Call Processing Server via SIP or SCCP Protocol, which contains following items such as,

i) Line Numbers

ii) Soft Key Layout

iii) Ring Tones
